Post-Wax Care
-
For the first 24–48 hours after your appointment:
Avoid hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, and very hot showers.
Avoid strenuous exercise that causes excessive sweating.
Avoid swimming pools, lakes, and beaches.
Wear loose-fitting clothing to reduce friction and irritation.
Avoid applying heavily scented products to the waxed area.
-
Wait 48 hours after your appointment before exfoliating. After that, gentle exfoliation 2–3 times per week can help prevent ingrown hairs and keep skin smooth.
-
Mild redness and sensitivity are normal and usually resolve within a few hours. Some clients may experience redness for up to 24 hours, especially after their first wax.
-
For the best waxing results, avoid shaving between appointments. Consistent waxing helps maintain the hair growth cycle and provides smoother, longer-lasting results.
-
Mild irritation is normal after waxing. Applying a cool compress and avoiding friction can help soothe the area. If irritation persists or you have concerns, please contact The Wax House.
